Newest Collection “First Snow”-Penny Black
Hi crafty friends! I am back with other cards using Penny Black new collection “First Snow”. If you haven’t seen my previous cards with this new collection click HERE. Today I am sharing three cards!
I love the clean and simple style cards by adding accent colors. Here are a few cards that I made the same style with the same method. If you haven’t seen these cards before, clink here (orange card) & here (red card). This first card I used the same method and style. It’s a very simple layout but it makes a strong first impression.
It’s a one layer card. I stamped all images ( #30-647 sweet sledder & #30-644 bundled buddies) on the A2 sized white cardstock panel. I colored a background using a yellow marker and add accent colors to the images. And then I stamped a sentiment from #30-649 frosty hello to the panel. That’s it! I LOVE this card layout & style and it makes me smile.
Here is another holiday card. For this card, I used watercolor paints. I left a lot of white space and added a few colors to the image. Of course, it’s very easy to make and is not required professional skills.
For this coloring method that I used, I applied the first layer of the color and then waited until the paint dried. I applied the second color (same color but less water, so the color shows a bit darker than first color you applied). It looks like the kid’s blue coat and bear’s shadows. If you add a different color before the first color of paints dried, it looks like the bear’s cheek and the kid’s cheek. Two colors are mixing smoothly.
I used stamp #30-644 bundled buddies, #30-630 festive frolic (bear) with coordinated die #51-582 festive frolic cut out, and #30-616 thrill of hope (sentence)
Here is my last card for today! This background image is one of my favorite stamps. It works well in a winter theme along with other winterly images. (If you haven’t seen these cards click here (left card) and here (right card).
It’s very simple to make. I stamped a background image from #40-566 under the trees using black ink on some white cardstock. Next, I stamped a baby image from #30-647 sweet sledder on another white cardstock and then colored it with markers. I fussy cut it and adhere it to the background image. I stamped a sentiment from #30-647 sweet sledder stamp set on the background image. Lastly, I add the background to the black panel.
I love this baby image so much! Have you seen this card (see image below)? I posted it my previous blog post for the “first snow” collection. If you haven’t seen it yet click here.
That’s all for today! I will be back on this Friday with other cards for this First Snow Collection. Stay tuned.
