Father’s day card ideas with CTMH

Hello friends, Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend. Today I am sharing five cards that I made for CTMH. It’s June and Father’s day is coming soon. Do you need Father’s Day card ideas? Here are three Father’s Day cards that I used CTMH stamp sets. For sure you will enjoy making and dads will enjoy receiving. OK! Let’s take a look at them!

Here is a first card for Father’s day. I used Day of Dad stamp set (P.23 Seasonal Expressions 2 May–August 2016) and Happy Father’s Day stamp set (P.23 Seasonal Expressions 2 May–August 2016).

To start off, I stamped bottle images from Day of Dad stamp set with black inks using a masking technique on a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 A2 CTMH’s watercolor paper (P. 145 Annual Inspirations 2015–2016 idea book). Next I colored images using CTMH’s watercolor Paints which has 36 colors (P. 148 Annual Inspirations 2015–2016 idea book). After that I stamped a sentiment using Happy Father’s Day stamp set with a Exclusive Black Inks pad. Lastly I added Watercolor Splatter effect using the watercolor paint and a small liner paint brush. Splatter is a great technique to use when you want to create a texture on your card. You can use either a watercolor brush, or a toothbrush. I usually use a watercolor brush because it’s easy to control the direction of the splatter by how I angle the brush.

Let’s move on next card!

Here is my second card for Father’s day. It’s a clean and simple card and easy to make. I used Day of Dad stamp set (P.23 Seasonal Expressions 2 May–August 2016). To start off, I stamped a bottle image from Day of Dad stamp set with black inks on a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 A2 watercolor paper. And then I colored it using CTMH’s watercolor Paints (P. 148 Annual Inspirations 2015–2016 idea book). Next I stamped a mustache image with a Exclusive Black Inks pad on another piece of white daisy cardstock. After that I fussy cut it and taped it down on the paper as you can see from the images below. That’s it. Easy and simple!!

Here is a third card (and last card) for Father’s day. It’s a Monotone Shaker Card. I used Day of Dad stamp set (P.23 Seasonal Expressions 2 May–August 2016) that I used first and second card. Yes! I love this stamp set because I am able to create so many different looks with just one stamp set! For the sequins, I used Glass Slippers Sequins, Medallion Gold Sequins , Glossy Black Sequins, and Night Bugle Beads from The Ton.

For this card, I used The Long Way Home stamp set (P.42 Seasonal Expressions 2 May–August 2016) which is the Stamp of the Month (available only June 1 – 30, 2016) . Let’s take a look at how to make this card! I wanted to make a own background image so I randomly stamped images from The Long Way Home stamp set using light gray and beige pigment ink on a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 A2 CTMH’s white daisy cardstock (P. 157 Annual Inspirations 2015–2016 idea book). Next I stamped a sentiment “❤ it here” and a van image from The Long Way Home stamp set on another piece of white daisy cardstock. After that I fussy cut it and taped it down on the paper. Lastly I stamped the sentiments from The Long Way Home stamp set with a Exclusive Black Inks pad. That’s it!

Here is my last card for today. It’s a simple and clean one layer card. I only used a white pigment ink, The Long Way Home stamp set and some color cardstock. Is it too simple? But I like it ❤❤❤
